Kirsten Matthiesen
Kirsten Matthiesen
Kirsten is a graduate of Centennial High School here in Howard County where she played lacrosse all four years. She was selected as All County First Team in her Senior year. She continued her lacrosse career by attending Gettysburg College, where she played all four years and was captain in her senior year. She still ranks in the top ten for total draw control for a single season. Coach Matthiesen had coached youth girls lacrosse for the Freedom Lacrosse Club for the 6 years prior to joining HOCO. Kirsten is also the Assistant Varsity Girls Coach at Liberty High School.

Team captain for three seasons… Three-time State Champion and First-Team All-County… Won the USA Lacrosse Jackie Pitts Award as a senior which “recognizes one player from each area who goes ‘above and beyond’ in service to her team, school, and community.”… Also played four years of field hockey as a forward, winning yet another State Championship.

Todd Matthiesen
Coach Todd graduated from High Point University. He coached youth girls lacrosse for the Freedom Lacrosse Club for 6 years prior to joining HoCo in 2014. Coach Todd is also an Assistant Coach for the Liberty High School girls varsity lacrosse team.
